Children, who will be five years of age on or before April 30 of the year they commence Foundation, may be enrolled. Birth Certificates, Immunisation and Baptism Certificates (if applicable) are to be presented upon enrolment. We welcome children of other faith traditions to attend St Joseph’s on the understanding that they support the Catholic ethos of the school.
Enrolments for Foundation open in Term 2 (Tuesday April 21, 2026). All Bendigo Catholic Schools usually finalise enrolments on the same day (for 2026 this will be Friday May 22). Enrolments for other year levels are open throughout the year. St Joseph’s will hold its Open Week in Term 2 (Monday May 4 – Friday May 8) for prospective parents and students. Student led tours are between 9.15am-11am, 12.30pm-1.30pm daily during Open Week). This is a great opportunity for families to tour the school and see our facilities.
Parent Information Session – A parent information session is conducted during Term 2 each year and provides further information regarding school procedures. This year, the information evening will be held on Tuesday May 5 at 7pm in the Arts Centre.
Foundation Transition Program
Our transition process includes the following steps:
Transition Visits – Beginning Term 4, children have the opportunity to visit St Joseph’s and meet some of the teachers and other students with whom they will be working with once they begin school. These are scheduled for Tuesday November 24 (9am-10.30am) and Wednesday November 25 (9am-10.45am).
Orientation Day – The final piece of the transition process is the orientation morning on Tuesday December 8, 2026 (9am – 10.45am) when children will spend time in their classroom with their teacher.
